The Waiting Candles: Advent Candle Base from Liturgy Wood is a beautiful and simple way to observe Advent as a family or a community. During this season of preparation, we remember what it means to wait for Jesus, our true Light, to come in His fullness.
In addition to the beautiful base, this set includes a stunning pack of Advent Reflection Cards. The Cards include Scripture readings and a short prayer to correspond with the candles for each week of Advent--Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love--as well as the Christ Candle on Christmas Eve. Printed on glossy card stock paper, each card also includes an original linocut drawing by Ned Bustard, illustrator of our bestselling Every Moment Holy books and prints. Finally, the Reflection Cards come with a wooden cardholder for easy display wherever you light your Advent candles, and can also be purchased separately.
Each handcrafted Candle Base is a beautifully unique, live edge piece made from oak or walnut. The base includes spots for five standard (7/8" diameter) taper candles (not included). After you use the Candle Base during Advent, its natural beauty will inspire you to enjoy it year-round on your table or hearth, even upside down acting as a tray.
