ABOUT SACRED ORDINARY DAYS
Sacred Ordinary Days exists to help people grow in Christ-likeness—and help the church come together—through holistic Christian spiritual formation.
We create and curate tools and resources rooted in ancient practices and rhythms but translated with a clean aesthetic and accessible language, like the Sacred Ordinary Days Planner. Ultimately, we believe that helping people grow in Christ-likeness will build the Church and, in turn, the Kingdom. The building blocks are sacred, ordinary days.

Literally the coolest planner. Space to write homework, goals, reflections, and so much more. Very in depth information on each season of the Christian year. Starting and ending the day with the daily office is so inspiring. Highly recommend!!
This is the second liturgical planner I've used from SOD and it's such an essential tool for developing more meaningful and life-giving rhythms in days, my weeks, my months. Thank you Jenn & team!
So often I would live my life out of my email inbox, letting everyone else’s priorities run my day with no sense of what God was really inviting me into. I am only a few weeks into this, and already I am giving myself permission to limit the amount that I try to accomplish each day and give myself permission to rest and delight in the life God intends for me.
I am lovely my planner. It is helping me build better margins in my life and balance between my chores & my hobbies. This is my first time buying this planning & I *plan* to do so again at the end of 2021!
I am really loving this planner! The daily office readings, as well as the Sabbath Days and Weekly Examens are exactly what I need to slow down from the crazy frenetic pace of my life.
This planner has enabled me to finally have some discipline around my quiet time and bible readings each day. I love the Sabbath pages in particular as they remind me that rest is vital to my wellbeing and part of my spiritual discipline. I have tried so many different tools and am so grateful to have finally found this planner. I feel so much more connected to the liturgical seasons and am enjoying building in the seasonal reflections into my daily life. I found the Rule of Life section at the front of the planner to be extremely helpful in centering my life back on God and what matters most. I can't recommend this planner highly enough. I have used the digital version and paper version and both are wonderful.
This is my first year following the liturgical calendar and so far I am loving it. I am really appreciating the focus on seasons and the feel of community it gives to people using either the liturgical calendar in general or the planners specifically. I chose the Ember daily planner and the extra pop of color is a welcome sight on my bedside table. Thank you for making this practice so accessible!
-For the first time in forever, I'm looking forward to my quiet time.
-Starting this planner at advent also makes my favorite season, advent, even sweeter.
- I had let working from home during the pandemic consume my days. Using this planner for the past three weeks has helped me to stop the rush of work and dwell in my rest/ delight.
This planning and journaling system has literally changed my life. I have really struggled to incorporate both a daily Bible study practice and a routine of mindful activity each day. Using sacred ordinary I have finally accomplished both! I move through my days with a sense of structure that isn’t constraining and I get manageable chunks of scripture every morning and evening. It is such a win on every level. Thank you!
I have only been using the planner for a few weeks, but so far I love it. The build quality is good and it seems like it will stand up to a year of use and abuse. The paper is thin enough to make the planner light, but not so thin that I get bleed-through. I generally use a pencil or a fountain pen with a fine tip, and so far I have had no issues with either. One of the reasons I wanted to try this planner was the inclusion of liturgical year features and spiritual discipline practices. These seem to well done and provide some guidance for contemplative reflection without becoming burdensome. Overall I would strongly encourage anyone considering this planner to give it a try.

An incredibly beautiful book. The gold embossing, the illustrations, the acknowledgement of such ordinary holiness is wonderful! I would say that some liturgies went on a little bit, but I liked that some of them also had shorter versions to choose from. I think I may annoy my friends when I show up with a liturgy for EVERY occasion, but hopefully in the long run they'll thank me 🤪.

PRAISE
“Lacy has created a gorgeous resource for pilgrims to prepare for, savor, and integrate their journeys to sacred places. Whether you are a long-time pilgrim or brand new to the practice, this guide will offer you many possibilities to bring more depth to your experience.”
— Christine Valters, Painter, PhD, REACE pilgrimage facilitator, founder of abbeyofthearts.com, and author of The Soul of a Pilgrim: Eight Practices for the Inner Journey
“I cannot say enough wonderful things about the guidance and support Lacy provided me on my recent pilgrimage. Before my journey, I used her guide to clarify my intentions, develop resources for the journey, and select prayer companions to support me from home. Throughout my pilgrimage she offered continued support. Even though we worked long distance, her counseling and materials made it seem like we took each step together.”

I have a display at the end of my hall with a ceramic cross and a little memento box, I periodically change out one of these cards as a sort of meditation or prayer prompt that I'm reminded of each time I pass. It's the little things that keep me focused on god through the day and this is one of them.

PRAISE
"What an awesome prayer book! This book is wonderful for everyone, but especially for those like me who may need a bit of guidance with their daily prayers. It is invaluable for those who are curious about how to start praying daily, as well as those who are dedicated prayer veterans. I loved it so much, I ended up buying several more to give to family and friends."
— Amazon Review
"If you want to start a daily prayer discipline, this lovely little book is an ideal place to begin. Following the ancient Anglican practice of praying "the hours," it offers four very short prayer services--morning, noon, evening and compline—for each day of the week. Reading/praying this daily gives me both a sense of peace and inspiration. It's perfect!"
— Cathryn Conroy
"This little book is a gem. It's small enough to fit in your coat pocket or bag and is quite handsome. It has leather binding, comes with a black satin bookmark, has gold edges and the title and a Celtic cross are stamped on the front cover in gold. What's really gold, though, is that this book offers a short and simple way to pray the daily offices (morning, noon, evening, and compline) in a simple way. If, like me, you have found daily office books like Benedictine Daily Prayer or the Anglican Breviary to be too complex, Hour by Hour is for you. All the readings you need are included. No flipping through the book is required, nor do you need a Bible or other supplemental books. There is also a section of other prayers in the back--seasonal prayers, occasional prayers, and familiar prayers. The offices in this book are brief and for some people they won't be enough. But using this book has given me a daily prayer routine and it has been invaluable. The preface says it all: "Using this book daily will deepen your commitment. It could even change your life. Carry it with you wherever you go. You won't regret it." I completely agree--Hour by Hour is wonderful."
— Elizabeth Moon
"Simplest clearest prayer hours book I have ever used. This little volume is a great pocket size. Nice thick cream paper, with great layout and design. Sewn binding for durability. The leather cover is glossy and firm. It is essentially a leather-bound hardcover, but it is very well done. Highly recommended!"
— Ryan J. Carter T
"The really great feature in is this devotional book is its ability to fill in the gaps between seasons of the church, especially if you are using another form of the liturgy of the hours that may not have the days between Christmas and the beginning of Lent, for example. It is well written and has additional prayers. I recommend it for clergy or anyone wanting to deepen their devotional life."
— Pastor Ron Nelson

To Bless the Space Between Us: A Book Of Blessings By John O’Donohue
From the author of the bestselling Anam Cara comes a beautiful collection of blessings to help readers through both the everyday and the extraordinary events of their lives.
John O’Donohue, Irish teacher and poet, has been widely praised for his gift of drawing on Celtic spiritual traditions to create words of inspiration and wisdom for today. In To Bless the Space Between Us, his compelling blend of elegant, poetic language and spiritual insight offers readers comfort and encouragement on their journeys through life. O’Donohue looks at life’s thresholds—getting married, having children, starting a new job—and offers invaluable guidelines for making the transition from a known, familiar world into a new, unmapped territory. Most profoundly, however, O’Donohue explains “blessing” as a way of life, as a lens through which the whole world is transformed.
O’Donohue awakens readers to timeless truths and shows the power they have to answer contemporary dilemmas and ease us through periods of change.

Four Birds of Noah's Ark: A Prayer Book from the Time of Shakespeare by Thomas Dekker
A timeless, little-known literary classic to engage a new generation of readers.
As the Black Death ravaged London in 1608, in the midst of societal chaos and tragedy, playwright Thomas Dekker wrote Four Birds of Noah’s Ark, a book containing fifty-six prayers for the people of London and all of England.
The prayers in this book bear witness to Dekker’s deep faith with a power and poignancy that few written prayers in English literature achieve. Bringing Dekker’s devotional classic back into print for the first time since 1924, editor Robert Hudson has annotated the prayers and modernized their language without sacrificing their enchanting beauty and simplicity. Hudson’s substantive and illuminating introduction is a gem in itself.

I have purchased these several times as gifts for friends and family, and they are well-loved! Beautiful and meaningful. I plan to purchase more in the future.
I have a wall display where I place a ceramic cross and a little box that I keep mementos and it has a horizontal bar underneath the shelf. I am not sure what it's really for, but when I saw these towels I finally realized what I could hang there. I got the "Come Thou Fount" one to start with and am loving it, I plan on collecting others so I can change them out with the seasons.
