An incredibly beautiful book. The gold embossing, the illustrations, the acknowledgement of such ordinary holiness is wonderful! I would say that some liturgies went on a little bit, but I liked that some of them also had shorter versions to choose from. I think I may annoy my friends when I show up with a liturgy for EVERY occasion, but hopefully in the long run they'll thank me 🤪.
I love this book. It has been a great way to begin my time with the Lord each morning. It's been a wonderful way to join in prayers and scripture that many others are also praying--a deep reminder that we are not walking this journey alone. I have also very much appreciated the midday and evening prayers as a great rhythm to incorporate into my day. I also appreciate the way it reflects on key dates in history as an often sober reminder of where we have been as we seek to pursue the Kingdom on this earth.
I have always understood prayer as a conversation with God, which with my ADHD, means that I get off track within 5 minutes. This book has given me some beautiful structure with prayer, song, and scripture to begin my day and then to have a point to focus on throughout my day when I need a break from work. It has been a centering experience for me.
