ABOUT SACRED ORDINARY DAYS
Sacred Ordinary Days exists to help people grow in Christ-likeness—and help the church come together—through holistic Christian spiritual formation.
We create and curate tools and resources rooted in ancient practices and rhythms but translated with a clean aesthetic and accessible language, like the Sacred Ordinary Days Planner. Ultimately, we believe that helping people grow in Christ-likeness will build the Church and, in turn, the Kingdom. The building blocks are sacred, ordinary days.

I’ve loved my journey with my planner. It fits my reflective nature and my desire to live a different rhythm in my life, at the speed of my soul. I especially love the weekly examen pages that allow me to spend time each week in intentional reflection.
This planner is a helpful tool for both spiritual growth and organization. I look forward to using it throughout the year.
Very helpful
After getting over my initial disappointment in not having a lovely cloth bound planner, I figured out how to print this at home, and I'm so grateful and thrilled to be able to use my favorite planner ever.
Tips for anyone trying to print this at home: Definitely do several test prints of a few pages each. I ended up using fit to printable area with borders so that I would have room for my combinding. I also just printed out about a third of the year, and will print more when I need to. I ended up just using my regular paper, cardstock, combs, and plastic covers that I already owned. This made the whole thing very inexpensive, especially since I have an Eco tank printer and already owned a comb binder and the accessories. If you don't own these things, you might check with a homeschooling mom friend since lots of homeschoolers own this kind of equipment.
I am truly thrilled with the way this turned out, while simultaneously already looking forward to next year's gorgeously bound already printed version. I am so thankful to be able to use this wonderful, restful, purposeful planner again this year.
I enjoy having this planner at my fingertips. It enables easier moments of prayer and contemplation.
I had been getting more and more into GoodNotes after discovering digital journaling and looking forward to new liturgical planners that start in November when this four month version came out with the academic ones. I knew instantly I wanted to make the switch right away and I am so glad I did!!
This sample PDF was so helpful for me in deciding whether or not to purchase the planner! I loved it and purchased the daily planner as a result.
I purchased the monthly sample PDF for June and July, and put them in a small binder to test out the experience of using the liturgical planner before committing to the full version. The layout is thoughtful and well-explained. The PDF comes with opening pages that explain the practices laid out in the planner. It helped me get a real feeling of how I would use the planner and decide whether to commit! If you are also unsure if the liturgical planner is for you, the monthly sample PDF is the perfect chance to try for yourself.
I bought this for a friend who uses her phone, and she is having difficulty using the PDF planner. Here is an excerpt from her email to me.
“Unfortunately, the digital version of the planner has frustrated me to the point of elevated blood pressure. It’s painfully small to read on my phone, won’t sync in the Kindle app to my Kindle Fire, and apparently counts every time I have even looked at it as a download (only 5 allowed). I sent a query to Customer Service the day I received. They have never answered but are happy to keep the promo emails coming ;-)
I did download the planner to my desktop where the viewing is larger, but I rarely use that format because of the strain on my bad eye. The PDF is not interactive so pages have to be printed in order to add personal data.”
I downloaded this pdf and got it printed and spiral bound at Staples because I couldn't wait for the journal I purchased to get here, much less wait til the end of November to start! I really need a livable way to incorporate prayer and scripture into my day as a working mom and even after my first two entries, and this is it. I have always been a planner and journaler, and to have both functionalities in the same elegant and thoughtful book is so helpful and refreshing. I'm looking forward to getting off my phone more since I have the lectionary readings and day planner in print, keeping me away from the tempting apps that await me when I open my calendar or web browser to look up the scripture of the day and my events.
Cannot wait to continue this new practice in the coming year!!
Art for All Seasons: a Coloring Book for Lent + Eastertide PDF by Sacred Ordinary Days
In Art for All Seasons: a Coloring Book for Lent + Eastertide, we’ve created coloring pages for the liturgical seasons and holy days of Lent and Easter. We created this series of images to help you engage with the practice of visio divina throughout Lent and Eastertide.
These beautifully designed, meticulously researched images are inspired by early Christian art and architecture such as mosaics, stained glass, icons, and other sacred works. Rich with symbolism, the images offer a series of invitations through imagery to guide your prayer and practice throughout Lent and Eastertide.
Visio divina is a prayerful practice of sacred, or divine, seeing. It's similar to lectio divina but involves engaging with an image rather than a text. In visio divina we invite our hearts and imaginations to enter into a sacred image, in silence, to see what God might have to say to us.
What to Expect from Art for All Seasons: a Coloring Book for Lent + Eastertide PDF
- A downloadable 23-page PDF with the option to print at home, print professionally, or use on your favorite device; simply download your PDF to get started
- Two pages for each of the ten seasons or holy days within Lent and Eastertide: Lent, Ash Wednesday, Annunciation of the Lord, Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, Easter, Ascension of the Lord, and Pentecost
- Each liturgical season or holy day coloring page is accompanied by scripture and a resources page with questions to ponder, practices to consider, and a guided invitation through imagery
It is our hope that the artwork and invitations will enfold and beckon you deeper into the faithful living of your sacred, ordinary days.

So simple and perfect to engage through the process of this Holy Moment with as much or as little effort during Lent as possible. I appreciate the moments I am able to sit and color, read, reflect, and find connection with myself and God, while my kids are also coloring their own things. It has given us a great family moment.
I just printed this and sat down with my youngest to explore and color. In such a short amount of time, it has explained a timeline of celebration and given us the time to talk about how Jesus's ministry was three years, that a lot happened in those years, and more. I highly recommend it. Also, coloring is always good for every mind and developmental age for dexterity and fine-motor skills.
