The Sacred Ordinary Days Planner Fund

From the very beginning, we've quietly given away at least 10% of our planners each year. We always approached it as the kind of faithful stewardship that doesn't let the right hand know what the left is doing. But we realized that keeping it to ourselves kept it from reaching as far as it could. It also kept you from having a hand in it.

We began dreaming of a planner fund that would allow us to put more planners into the hands of people who are hungry for peace, presence, and purpose, but whose finances can't support the cost. It will continue to be a fund that we seed, but that our community now helps us water and grow.

We're extending the invitation now to you to help us make the Sacred Ordinary Days Planner more accessible to those who need a hand. We're hoping that, together, we can offer a beacon of hope as well as a beautiful, useful tool. As with everything we do, our ultimate goal is to help people grow in Christ-likeness—and help the church come together—through holistic spiritual formation.

Below, you'll find everything there is to know about the Sacred Ordinary Days Planner Fund, including ways you can join us in the work of offering peace, presence, and purpose to someone who needs them.

In the first 5 years of our business-that's-also-a-ministry we gave away over 5,000 planners on our own. We're just beginning the work of distributing planners together through the Sacred Ordinary Days Planner Fund.

Sacred Ordinary Days Planners Given:  109

Sacred Ordinary Days Planners Available: 0

*Updated December 22, 2020*

Our system is pretty simple. We keep track of the number of planners available in the fund at any given time (based on the amount we seed into it plus your donations).

We distribute planners when available, no questions asked. If someone is nominated to receive a planner through the fund and planners are available, they get one. If there's not money in the fund, their name goes on our waiting list to receive a planner as soon as they become available.

Nominations operate on the honor system. We don't have any desire or intention to qualify anyone's needs. Nominate and the nominee will receive as soon as funds are available.

Right now, anyone receiving a planner through the fund will be able to choose a 2021 Liturgical Year B Daily or Weekly Planner

Planner Fund FAQs

I CAN'T AFFORD THE FULL COST OF A PLANNER BUT I'D LOVE TO PUT $20 TOWARD IT. CAN I USE THE PLANNER FUND?

Absolutely, we'd love that! It helps the planner fund go further. Just let us know how much you'd like to put toward which version of the planner when you fill out the nomination form and we'll take care of the rest.

I'D LIKE TO ORDER A PLANNER BUT INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING IS COST-PROHIBITIVE. CAN THE PLANNER FUND HELP ME?

Sure can! Mention that when you fill out the nomination form.

AREN'T THERE ALREADY WAYS TO SAVE?

Yep, there sure are! We've always provided opportunities to save on the planner and will continue to do so. The planner fund works in tandem with group discounts, points earned through rewards + referrals, and other money-saving opportunities so that cost doesn't have to be a barrier to entry for anyone.

WHY NOT JUST REDUCE THE COST?

On a cost-per-use or cost-per-day basis, the planner is clearly a great value. But we totally understand that it's not doable for everyone in every season. If you're curious, we landed on the price-tag for a few good reasons that we unpack in detail here.
